Brandee Fetherman, MSN, RN, has been promoted to chief nursing officer at Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center, part of New Jersey-based Atlantic Health System. She succeeds Carol Jones, MSN, RN, who is retiring at the end of the year.
Ms. Fetherman has served as the medical center's director of nursing since 2017. Since joining the hospital in 2001, she has held multiple leadership roles in critical care, medicine, trauma and neurology, an Oct. 25 news release said.
"I am honored and privileged to lead our highly professional and accomplished group of nurses who are committed to providing high-quality care for our patients and the community," Ms. Fetherman said. "All of the efforts of our nursing team directly contribute to making Morristown Medical Center the number one hospital in the state for the fourth year in a row and one of the best places to work for nurses."
Ms. Jones' career in healthcare spans 30 years. She has served as the medical center's chief nursing officer since May 2016, according to LinkedIn.
The medical center employs more than 2,000 nurses.
