St. Louis, Mo.-based Ascension Health has announced that Patricia Maryland, DrPH, has been promoted to president of healthcare operations and COO, effective July 1. Dr. Maryland currently serves as president and CEO of Ascension's member hospital St. John Providence Health System in Detroit and as Michigan ministry market leader for Ascension Health. She will continue in these roles until June 30.
A national search is currently underway for Dr. Maryland's replacement in Michigan.
