UA Healthcare in Tucson, Ariz., has named Henry E. Wells interim president and CEO, according to a University of Arizona news release.
Mr. Wells has more than 40 years of healthcare experience, having served as interim CEO of hospitals in California, New Jersey and Tennessee. He has served as interim CFO of an Illinois-based health system and permanent CFO of Greenleaf Health Systems and Erlanger Medical Center, both in Chattanooga, Tenn., and of The Medical Center in Columbus, Ga., among other positions.
He also founded and served as president of UniTrust, a consulting firm specializing in hospital consulting and small-businesses. He most recently served as interim deputy dean of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.
He replaces Kevin Burns, who recently resigned.
