Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care has appointed Linda Deering president of Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill., effective Jan. 1.
Ms. Deering has served as Advocate Sherman Hospital's COO since 2006. Before joining Advocate Health Care, she was vice president of patient services, CNO and chief clinical officer at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva, Ill., and executive director of patient services at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elgin, Ill.
