AdventHealth East Florida Division in Orange City promoted a vice president of mission and ministry.
Farzad Nourian will step into the newly-created role Dec. 29 overseeing chaplaincy services, clinical pastoral education and other initiatives to connect faith communities within the system's patient population.
"Farzad has a way of turning our mission into action — whether it is providing comfort to a family in need or building bridges with our faith communities," said Audrey Gregory, PhD, RN, executive vice president and CEO of the AdventHealth East Florida Division. "His ability to lead with both strength and humility, coupled with his focus on our mission, makes him the perfect fit for this important role. I am confident that his leadership will help ensure our mission remains at the heart of everything we do."
Mr. Nourian has more than 20 years of experience at AdventHealth, most recently as senior regional director of pastoral care. In this new role, he will be accountable for the pastoral services for the East Florida Division's seven hospitals and 1,500 inpatient beds.
He is an ordained pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church with advanced degrees in psychology, religion and divinity.
