ACHE Elects New Leaders

The American College of Healthcare Executives has elected Christine M. Candio, RN, CEO of Inova Alexandria (Va.) Hospital as chairman-elect for 2013-2014.
Previous chairman-elect Diana L. Smalley, regional president of Mercy in Oklahoma, was installed as chairman. Ms. Candio will assume the chairman role next year, following Ms. Smalley's term.

ACHE also elected four new members of its board of governors:
  • Kathleen A. Bizarro, executive vice president of federal relations, New Hampshire Hospital Association
  • Michael A. King, president and CEO, Camden Clark Medical Center (Parkersburg, W.Va.)
  • Marcel C. Loh, chief executive, Swedish Suburban Hospitals and Affiliates, Swedish Health Services (Seattle)
  • Andrea R. Price, CEO, Mercy–Northern Region (Toledo, Ohio)

The organization also elected 20 healthcare executives to three-years terms as regents. As regents, the executives will represent ACHE members in various regions across the country.
