25 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

1. Larkin Kennedy has been named president and CEO of Meridian, Miss.-based Rush Health Systems, effective Jan. 29

2. Ryan Rohman, BSN, MSN, has been named COO of University of Colorado Health Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and Loveland-based UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies.

3. Pikeville (Ky.) Medical Center appointed Donovan Blackburn CEO.

4. Reginald Eadie, MD, resigned as Regional COO of Detroit Medical Center earlier this week and has now been named president and CEO of Hartford, Conn.-based Trinity Health of New England, effective March 26.

5. HealthPartners, a nonprofit healthcare provider and health insurance company based in Bloomington, Minn., appointed former Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services financial executive Todd Hofheins as CFO.

6. Huntington, W.Va.-based Cabell Huntington HospitalnamedJames Jensen, MD, interim medical director of the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center.

7. Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health appointed Janie Wade as executive vice president and CFO.

8. EvergreenHealth Monroe (Wash.) selected Brenda West, BSN, MSN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

9. Columbia, S.C.-based Palmetto Health and Greenville (S.C.) Health System integrated last year to form the SC Health Company, and the new nonprofit company announced leadership appointments Jan. 24.

10. Gary, Ind.-based Methodist Hospitals appointedJim Renneker, MSN, RN, vice president and chief nursing officer.

11. South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala., selected Daniel McKinney to serve as CEO, effective March 5.

12. Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Ga., named Tracey Smithson, BSN, MSN, chief nursing officer.

13. Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida appointed Bo Boulenger executive vice president and COO.

14. Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health selected Michael Rolph to serve as interim CFO.

15. Brentwood, Tenn.-based RCCH HealthCare Partners selected Greg Nielsen to serve as division president.

16. St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh appointed John T. Sullivan, MD, senior vice president and CMO.

17. Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, selected Ty Shaull to serve as president and CEO.

18. Brunswick, Ga.-based Southeast Georgia Health System selected Kelli Reale to serve as its new vice president of human resources.

19. Irving, Texas-based Christus Health named Cris Daskevich CEO of The Children's Hospital of San Antonio. She will also serve as senior vice president of maternal services for the health system in the S. and Latin America.

20. Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics CEO Kenneth P. Kates is retiring, effective in the summer, ending a 10-year tenure. Mr. Kates also serves as associate vice president of University of Iowa Health Care.

21. Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health appointed Matthew E. Cox senior vice president and CFO.

22. Hospital for Special Care, a freestanding long-term acute care hospital in New Britain, Conn., tapped J. Kevin Shushtari, MD, to serve as CMO.

23. Paul Browne will join the Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System as its new senior vice president and CIO, effective Feb. 5.

24. Guttenberg (Iowa) Municipal Hospital selected Kelly Dybvig to serve as interim CEO.

25. Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga., selected Lavonda Cravey to serve as CFO.
