16 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health named Angela Ditmar, RN, president of Spectrum Health Pennock in Hastings, Mich., as well as southeast regional market leader, effective Nov. 1.

2. PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., appointed Gary Foster COO.

3. Grand Forks, N.D.-based Altru Health System selected Kristi Hall-Jiran to serve as executive vice president and chief philanthropy officer, effective January 2019.

4. Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Health System selected Eric Hamon to serve as permanent president and CEO.

5. Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kan., selected Steven Kaster, MD, to serve as CMO.

6. North Conway, N.H.-based Memorial Hospital named Lee Myles interim CEO, effective Oct. 22.

7. Frankfort (Ky.) Regional Medical Center CEO Chip Peal resigned at the end of September.

8. St. James Hospital in Hornell, N.Y., appointed Melissa Rackmil, BSN, RN, vice president of patient care and chief nursing officer.

9. St. David's Georgetown (Texas) Hospital named Tracy Rodriguez, BSN, MSN, DNP, chief nursing officer.

10. John Rudd, president and CEO of Ithaca, N.Y.-based Cayuga Health System and Cayuga Medical Center, is retiring in fall 2019.

11. Slidell (La.) Memorial Hospital named Kerry R. Tirman CEO, effective Nov. 12.

12. Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, Calif., hires JoDee Tittle to serve as CEO, effective in November.

13. UnityPoint Health-Cedar Rapids (Iowa) President and CEO Theodore Townsend, Jr., will retire Dec. 31.

14. Placentia-Linda Hospital in Placentia, Calif., named Fred Valtairo, RN, chief of quality and operations.

15. Seattle Children's tapped Leslie R. Walker-Harding, MD, to serve as senior vice president and chief academic officer, effective Feb. 15, 2019.

16. Evanston, Ill.-based Northshore University HealthSystem appointed Doug Welday CFO, effective Oct. 15.
