Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, led by Wright Lassiter III, is a nonprofit, Catholic health system that operates 142 hospitals and more than 2,200 care sites in 24 states.
Here are 13 executive appointments at CommonSpirit this year:
1. Terika Richardson was named senior executive vice president and COO of CommonSpirit, effective Dec. 11. Ms. Richardson previously served as COO of Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services.
2. Michelle Johnson Tidjani was named senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer of CommonSpirit, effective Oct. 2. Ms. Tidjani previously served as the executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Detroit-based Henry Ford Health.
3. Kevin Cullinan was named CEO of CommonSpirit's St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colo., in September. He has served in progressive leadership roles with CommonSpirit since 2012.
4. Kevin Jenkins was appointed CommonSpirit market CEO in Utah and CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Salt Lake. CommonSpirit announced the appointment in September after acquiring the hospital from Dallas-based Steward Health Care in May.
5. Michael Jensen was named CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Davis in Layton, Utah. CommonSpirit announced the appointment in September after acquiring the hospital from Dallas-based Steward Health Care in May.
6. Christine McSweeney was named CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Jordan Valley in West Jordan, Utah. CommonSpirit announced the appointment in September after acquiring the hospital from Dallas-based Steward Health Care in May.
7. Angie Simonson was named CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Jordan Valley West in West Valley City, Utah. CommonSpirit announced the appointment in September after acquiring the hospital from Dallas-based Steward Health Care in May.
8. Chris Stines was named CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Mountain Point in Lehi, Utah. CommonSpirit announced the appointment in September after acquiring the hospital from Dallas-based Steward Health Care in May.
9. Lilicia Bailey, PhD, was named senior executive vice president and chief people officer of CommonSpirit, effective Aug. 7. She previously served as chief people officer of Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare.
10. Chris Spady announced his appointment as CommonSpirit southeast division vice president of revenue cycle in July. Mr. Spady joined CommonSpirit from Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System, where he served as revenue cycle vice president.
11. Nancy Bussani was named CommonSpirit's executive vice president and chief philanthropy officer, as well as president of the CommonSpirit Health Foundation, effective June 26. Ms. Bussani previously served at CommonSpirit as system vice president and system senior vice president of philanthropy strategy and governance.
12. Sheri Shapiro was named senior executive vice president and chief strategy officer at CommonSpirit. She began the role in June after serving as executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.
13. Tim Bricker was named president of CommonSpirit's Southwest division, effective in early May. He had been serving in the role on an interim basis since May 2022.
