E. Kenneth Hutchenrider Jr., FACHE, has served as president of Methodist Richardson (Texas) Medical Center since July 2010. The medical center has two campuses within Richardson's city limits, the Campbell Road campus and the Bush/Renner campus.
Prior to joining Methodist Richardson, Mr. Hutchenrider was CEO of Galesburg (Ill.) Cottage Hospital. While leading Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Mr. Hutchenrider helped improve the hospital's financial stability and build the medical staff. He has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience.
Now at the helm of Methodist Richardson, Mr. Hutchenrider is leading the expansion of the medical center's Bush/Renner location. The campus is getting a new, 266,250-square-foot acute-care hospital that is set to open in 2014.
"Many people came together to make this vision a reality," Mr. Hutchenrider said in a news release. "The expansion at Bush/Renner along with the specialized services available at the Campbell campus will equip us with the ability to meet the needs of our community population, allowing us to be the trusted provider for every generation."
Mr. Hutchenrider earned a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
