Brent McDonald is the head of not-for-profit healthcare strategic advisory at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, with responsibility for all not-for-profit healthcare M&A coverage at the firm. Prior to joining BofAML, Mr. McDonald led the Acquisition & Development department at Tenet Healthcare Corporation, serving as a key member of Tenet’s executive team advising on strategic direction and execution of the company’s strategic transactions. He had previously served in Tenet’s law department as the Assistant General Counsel over the Business Services Group. Mr. McDonald has led a great many healthcare related ventures and transactions during his career, including the transfer of more than 100 hospitals in asset based deals. Before joining Tenet, Mr. McDonald practiced law at Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. and had an active practice in healthcare, tax, non-profit and corporate M&A matters. Mr. McDonald received a B.B.A. in accounting from Baylor University, a J.D. from Baylor School of Law and an LL.M. in taxation from New York University. He also completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program in Managing Healthcare Delivery (2009-2010).
