Vanessa Kochevar has served as CFO of Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City for roughly one-and-a-half years, and she has already been recognized for fiscal prowess.
Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, the for-profit company that operates the 291-bed Deaconess Hospital, recently honored Ms. Kochevar with its Outstanding Achievement Award, according to an Oklahoman report. The award recognizes hospital leaders who have displayed strong commitment to both operational excellence as well as quality healthcare outcomes.
Prior to joining Deaconess Hospital, Ms. Kochevar was the CFO of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, Okla. King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services owns and operates St. Mary's Regional. In total, Ms. Kochevar has more than 16 years of hospital financial management experience — ranging from budgeting and labor management to revenue cycle support and cost management — and she said her award would be nothing without the people that support her at the hospital.
