Jennifer Ensminger, MBA, has served as president and CEO of Pacific Hospital Long Beach (Calif.) since March 15, 2013. 
Even though Ms. Ensminger has been at the helm of Pacific Hospital Long Beach for less than a month, she has been a part of the hospital's executive team since 2000. During her time at Pacific Hospital Long Beach, she has served as vice president of support services; vice president of ancillary, support and construction services; vice president of ancillary, support and business development and as president and COO before being named CEO this year.
In April 2012, when she became the hospital's president and COO, Ms. Ensminger instituted an open door policy in the facility to improve patient and employee satisfaction. She has also led Pacific Hospital Long Beach through ISO-9001 certification. ISO-9001 is a quality management system recognized around the world which helps an organization achieve consistent results and improve its processes. Beyond that certification, Ms. Ensminger also supports process improvement through Lean and Studer processes.
Ms. Ensminger earned her MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. She is an active member in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Hospital Association of Southern California.
Ms. Ensminger gives back to the community through her service on non-profit organizations' boards and committees, focusing on education and sustainable building.
