Based on Apple's recent partnerships and moves in the digital health space, IT market intelligence platform CB Insights made predictions on where the tech giant could go next in a new report.

- Apple is aiming to aggregate patient data to create novel data points and then partner with consumer-direct data sharing with clinicians and researchers.
- Apple will continue efforts to connect patients with their medical records, according to the report. The tech giant is aggregating EHR data from hundreds of hospitals across the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
- Apple will likely expand Apple Watch sales with partnerships with payers for its members, such as Aetna and UnitedHealthcare, according to the report.
- Apple is also exploring new potential health indicators such as using wearables to detect how hearing is affected by exposure to certain sounds. Apple is also looking at how to use the watches with menstrual cycles.
- CB Insights predicts Apple will explore bringing its own health and wellness services directly to consumers. The company in June piloted its own subscription-based primary healthcare service with Apple's physicians. The company also was exploring its own direct primary care company, but those efforts have been paused, according to the report.
