Purchase, N.Y.-based Teladoc CMO Henry DePhillips, MD, was named to the National Quality Forum Telehealth Multistakeholder Committee.
Funded by HHS, the newly created NQF Telehealth Committee will work to find the best ways of measuring the quality of telehealth-delivered care and improve the future use of telehealth measures.
"Establishing a standard of industry-wide measures for telehealth encounters will be invaluable to the growth and continued success of the telehealth industry," said Dr. DePhillips. "With the industry ready to boom, I am eager to share [Teladoc's] expertise in this journey with the NQF Telehealth Multistakeholder Committee and further establish telehealth as a central, interconnected component of our healthcare system."
