Betty Rabinowitz, MD, will retire from her post as CMO of healthcare software company NextGen Healthcare, effective Dec. 31.
Dr. Rabinowitz's healthcare career spans more than 40 years; she joined NextGen in 2017 after serving as CEO of EagleDream Health, a cloud-based analytics and population health management platform acquired by NextGen.
Dr. Rabinowitz was the first CMO of NextGen. In her absence, the company has appointed Robert Murry, PhD, MD, to serve as its new CMO.
Dr. Murry joined NextGen in 2012 and currently serves as chief medical informatics officer. He previously was medical director for ambulatory informatics and CMIO for Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, N.J.
NextGen Healthcare also offers services and analytics tools to improve patient care experiences and support value-based care. In September, the company named former Teladoc Health COO David Sides as its new CEO.
