New York to enact changes to telemedicine coverage

New York to enact changes to telemedicine coverage  New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed into law an amendment that will change the state's telemedicine commercial coverage statute, according to a Health Care Law Today report.

 

Beginning Jan. 1, 2016, the legislation will require commercial health insurers to cover telemedicine services. The New York State Department of Health will release telemedicine regulations before the end of the year, according to the report.
