Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., has launched CipherHealth's new patient discharge solution Echo.
Echo is designed to improve patient comprehension of and compliance with hospital discharge instructions. The solution provides recorded discharge instructions for blind or visually impaired patients.
The new technology puts the medical center in compliance with a New York State Public Health Act that mandates hospitals provided recorded discharge instructions to blind or visually impaired patients on request.
"While Echo was created long before this new and important piece of legislation, we are quite pleased that we've been able to deliver it as a turn-key enhancement to Kingsbrook's patient discharge procedures," said Zach Silverzweig, co-Founder of CipherHealth. "In terms of this new law, Echo truly represents a compliance solution that is fast to implement and allows centers to both quickly comply and also enhance the standard of care for all patients."
