A new feature on Kaiser Permanente Hawaii's website allows patients to send digital images to their physicians of wounds, rashes or injuries of concern.
After the physician reviews the image, the photo will then go directly into the patient's medical record, allowing for more integrated, coordinated care. This capability lets patients better manage conditions and identify issues that require an in-person visit
"We're excited for our members to connect with their doctors through this new and convenient digital feature," said Grant Okawa, MD, associate medical director of knowledge management at Hawaii Permanente Medical Group.
