Zipnosis. Virtual Care Marketplace Infographic

Kevin L. Smith, DNP, FNP, FAANP is the Chief Clinical Officer at Zipnosis where he provides strategic leadership for the development and implementation of evidence based clinical guidelines for virtual care services. In 1999, with physician and business colleagues, Kevin helped to develop QuickMedx (which became MinuteClinic), the first retail-based clinics in the country. He served in leadership roles, including Director of Clinical Informatics, where he contributed to electronic health record design, integration of evidence based content, and clinical quality control. In both clinical practice and his doctoral studies, Dr. Smith has focused on innovative applications of technology, clinical decision support, and analytics to drive clinical quality improvement. His background includes family practice, retail health, nursing education, and professional speaking. He has a postgraduate certificate in health informatics and is adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
