Health IT tip of the day: Keep your media social, but not too social

The majority of hospitals and healthcare organizations in the US now use social media for promotions and patient engagement. However, when developing a social media policy, here are a few key things to keep in mind.

• Limit the number of staff with access to the organization's official social media accounts.
• Have separate computers available strictly for use of personal social media accounts.
• Develop a style to be used for social media posting in order to keep language consistent.
