Chicago-based Groove Health, a digital health company, raised $1.6 million to advance predictive analytics and personalized patient engagement in its medication adherence platform.
Groove, which markets it platform toward health insurers, hospital systems and self-insured employers, seeks to address the behavioral psychology of medication non-adherence. It combines existing healthcare data with patient input to create its patient engagement program.
"Health literacy, financial concerns, social issues and other factors often influence non-adherent behavior," said Andrew Hourani, founder and CEO of Groove Health. "We are helping our enterprise customers identify and address these issues on an individualized basis."
