Google plans to acquire San Francisco-based Lift Labs, a medical device startup, for an undisclosed price, according to a Silicon Valley Business Journal report.
Lift Labs developed a high-tech spoon for people with neurodegenerative diseases that affect the nervous system. The spoon's handle has sensors that detects a person's hand tremors and stabilizes the device.
Google intends to incorporate Lift Labs into Google X's Google Life Sciences unit, according to the report.
