Allentown, Pa.-based Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network plans to implement Cerner's EHR and revenue cycle management solutions at three inpatient and more than 40 outpatient facilities.
The healthcare provider is replacing its current patient management system and patchwork of third-party clinical systems with Cerner's platforms, including Cerner's rehabilitation-specific solutions.
"When evaluating potential IT suppliers, it was critical to find one that had both a fully developed enterprise-wide EHR, as well as the solutions necessary to meet our specialized needs for enhanced rehabilitation and post-acute functionality," said Mike Cirba, CIO of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. "Cerner has the experience and post-acute focus necessary to meet our current and anticipated needs as Good Shepherd continues to grow and evolve."
