Milwaukee-based Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin has created an innovation engine in efforts to improve health outcomes and enhance consumer interactions.
Inception Health will serve as the innovation arm for Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin network with an emphasis on rapid testing and scaling digital health solutions.
Inception Health was launched in partnership with the AVIA Innovator Network, of which Froedtert is a member. As a member, Froedtert works with other health systems to address shared challenges.
"AVIA's model and recent success has encouraged a number of our members to strengthen their relationship with an investment in our company," said Eric Langshur, co-founder and CEO of AVIA, in a statement. "Having the financial backing of our health system members is further validation that AVIA has the right approach to accelerating healthcare transformation. We will use the funding to further scale our provider network and drive adoption of technology solutions that solve healthcare challenges."
Being a member of AVIA means researchers at Inception Health can pull expertise from outside organizations to support its work. Some of Inception Health's project areas including patient experience, post-acute care and behavioral health.
