The Centers of Medicare & Medicare Services has approved federal matching funds for four more states' electronic health record incentives programs, according to CMS news releases.
The Medicaid programs in Massachusetts, Ohio, Hawaii and North Dakota will receive $3.56 million, $2.29 million, $836,000 and $226,000, respectively, in federal funds to help implement EHR incentive programs in their respective states.
The Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides a 90 percent federal match to states planning activities to administer incentive payments to Medicaid providers for adopting and promoting interoperability and meaningful use of EHR technology.
