Earlier this week, Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic announced it selected to adopt Epic's EHR and revenue cycle management platform.
The switch to Epic means the health system is dropping its Cerner and GE contracts, which currently operate three systems used at Mayo hospitals, according to a Kansas City Star report.
Cerner spokesman Dan Smith said Mayo's decision to switch to Epic would not affect Cerner's employment or growth plans, according to the report.
