Five healthcare organizations have joined DirectTrust, a personal health information exchange network, since April.
The network is used for the secure, interoperable exchange of protected health information between provider organizations, as well as between providers and their patients, to improve care coordination.
The company also reported steady growth in the number of exchange users (up 68 percent), addresses able to share PHI (up 15 percent) and transactions (up 74 percent) during the second quarter of 2017. In total, 129 organizations belong to DirectTrust's network.
