Dell Inc., the Round Rock, Texas-based technology giant, has officially changed its name to Dell Technologies, reports Austin Business Journal.
The official name change was filed Friday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to the report.
Dell revealed the name change in May as a way to represent the new company that will be formed once Dell finalizes its $67 billion acquisition of EMC, according to the report. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016.
