CMS: 171k Medicare physicians will have 3% MU payment adjustments next year

In 2017, approximately 171,000 physicians and clinicians will have a 3 percent pay cut from Medicare for failing to meet meaningful use requirements in 2015, according to a recent CMS report.

This number is down from the 209,000 Medicare physicians penalized in 2016 and the 256,000 penalized in 2015, according to Medscape.
