The two newest office buildings at Cerner's Trails Campus are expected to be complete by the end of 2016, according to a Kansas City Business Journal report.
The Trails Campus is Cerner's seventh location in Kansas City, Mo., which serves as headquarters for the EHR and information systems vendor. Occupying 290 acres, the Trails Campus will include 4.7 million square feet of space in 16 buildings. The campus is expected to hold more than 3,500 employees.
With a total price tag of $4.45 billion, the Trails Campus is the largest economic development project in the history of Missouri, according to the report.
The project will be completed in 16 phases, the first two of which began last November.
