Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana will offer a new health insurance plan featuring telehealth services to members this fall, according to an Advocate report.
The Quality Blue Primary Plan, which will emphasize preventative medicine and chronic disease management, will include telehealth benefits to both meet its patient care goals and keep costs down, according to the report.
BCBS estimates less than 10 percent of patients will use the telehealth service in the first year, but more patients will begin to take advantage of the service over time, according to the report.
