Apervita, the Chicago-based developer of a cloud platform for healthcare data and analytics, acquired Boston-based Qcentive, which offers healthcare organizations tools for contract and alternative payment administration.
Both solutions will be merged into a single platform integrating clinical and financial insights, therefore enabling the creation of value-based contracts that will improve organizations' efficiency and care quality. The newly merged companies will operate under the Apervita name, with offices in both Chicago and Boston.
"Apervita has focused on performance measurement and improvement for providers and plans, including the ability to engage providers directly in their workflow. Qcentive's focus on performance-based contracts between plans and providers and their associated economics is a natural extension," said Paul Magelli, CEO of Apervita.
