Allstate hires former CVS Health chief tech officer for new CIO role

Allstate has hired the former chief technology officer of CVS Health for its new role of executive vice president and CIO, the insurance company confirmed to Becker's.

In his new position, Zulfi Jeevanjee, who worked for Allstate previously, will oversee all business- and consumer-facing technology, architecture and systems engineering, and the tech the company employs for products, investments and internal shared services.

"At CVS, Jeevanjee defined the technology strategy that the giant health insurer and pharmacy chain is using to engage its customers in all aspects of their health," an Allstate spokesperson wrote in a statement to Becker's.

Mr. Jeevanjee was also chief technology officer of Wells Fargo. He joins Allstate on Oct. 10 and will report to Suren Gupta, executive vice president of technology, services and ventures.
