A data breach can affect any company, and the majority of businesses across multiple industries are concerned about the ramifications of a large-scale breach, according to a report from Advisen.
The survey pulled responses from leaders in more than 10 industries, including healthcare.
Though 80 percent of the survey's respondents expressed concern over large data breaches, 55 percent of respondents indicated their organizations do not have adequate resources to detect breaches.
Confidence in cybersecurity strategy may not be strong, but organizations have made at least some steps to prevent and mitigate data breaches, including:
• Developing an incident response plan (75 percent)
• Testing the incident response plan (42 percent)
• Purchasing cyber insurance (64 percent)
• Selecting data breach response vendor (51 percent)
