- 28 percent hold a master's degree or PhD in informatics
- 12 percent are advance practice nurses
- 58 percent work for a hospital
- 70 percent have titles containing the word "informatics"
- In 2014, nursing informaticists made an average salary of $100,000 per year, up from $83,000 in 2007.
- 48 percent hold a specialty certification
