Two hospitals in Puerto Rico plan to implement MEDITECH's 6.1 EHR.
Manati Medical Center and Mayaguez Medical Center join 19 hospitals in Puerto Rico already using MEDITECH's platform.
Both hospitals are teaching hospitals, and many medical students who have worked at other hospitals are already familiar with the software.
"Everyone in our community is excited about this change," said Francisco Caceres, CIO of both the hospitals. "We already have the physical infrastructure and the clinical expertise."
