A dose of feel-good to kick off the weekend.
What happens when the world of Star Wars and a hospital room collide? A patient gets the surprise of a lifetime.
Richard Dillon is a patient in end-stage liver failure at Indianapolis-based IU Health University Hospital. When his nurse, Brandie Kopsas-Kingsley, RN, discovered his love of Star Wars, she decided to do something.
She organized a visit from The 501st Legion, a Star Wars costume group.
The Force was with Mr. Dillon as he got the chance to meet the Star Wars group, hold a lightsaber and even try on a stormtrooper helmet.
