Opportunity for growth and increased pay are key incentives for healthcare revenue cycle professionals evaluating job options, according to a new report published by LaSalle Network.
The report highlights findings from the national staffing, recruiting and culture firm's 2019 survey of more than 6,000 healthcare revenue cycle professionals, including professionals in patient access, case management, medical coding and clinical documentation. For the survey, LaSalle asked respondents what they want in a company and career this year.
Eighty-seven percent of working respondents said they are open to new opportunities, and 62 percent reported receiving one to three job offers within the last year.
In addition to "no opportunity for growth" and "desiring increased compensation," professionals cited "seeking better benefits" as a top reason they were open to new opportunities.
Seventy percent of respondents said they want paid time off and a 401(k) match, and 51 percent desired flexible hours.
