University of Miami Health System has launched a concierge medicine and executive health program, according to Community News.
Four things to know:
1. Stephen Avallone, MD, director of executive health and concierge medicine at U of Miami Health and Cristina Pravia, MD, associate director of executive health and concierge medicine, helped launch the programs.
2. The executive health program involves a single visit of several hours for a set fee. It includes a physical, blood work, cardiovascular tests and consultations with a nutritionist and exercise physiologist.
3. The concierge medicine program is a membership model where patients pay an annual fee for a physical exam but also will have 24/7 access to healthcare support from staff members at the health system.
4. "Drs. Avallone and Pravia will help us make UHealth a leading destination for top-quality executive and personalized healthcare with a global reach," Dipen Parekh, MD, chief clinical officer of UHealth, and professor and chair of the Department of Urology at UHealth, told Community News.
