Hunt Regional Healthcare in Greenville, Texas, will use a cloud-based coding analysis platform from Streamline Health Solutions to improve coding accuracy before billing.
Both parties agreed to the arrangement July 31.
"We are always looking for ways to improve our coding and revenue integrity, and we believe Streamline's new eValuator platform can help us accomplish this," Jennifer Cooper, director of health information management at Hunt, said in a prepared statement.
Cooper said the platform is designed to prevent underbilling as well as overcharging by analyzing the coding of every patient record before submitting it, and employees will use the information gleaned from coding inaccuracies to prevent them in the future.
