Arlington-based Texas Health Resources received a $10 million gift from the Jane & John Justin Foundation to support the largest construction project in the health system's history.
The gift will support the $300 million expansion at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, which features a nine-story surgical patient tower that will house 144 beds, 15 surgical suites, space for support services and a pre- and post- operative area.
To honor the donors, the new patient tower will be named Jane & John Justin Patient Surgical Tower.
"We are extremely humbled by this gift and grateful to the Justin Foundation for its generosity and support at the onset of this important project," said Texas Health Resources CEO Barclay Berdan. "Having such a prominent and well-respected name asJustin on our patient surgical tower further validates our commitment to Fort Worth and the communities we serve."
