San Diego-based Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital received a $1 million donation from Price Philanthropies to renovate the Child and Adolescent mental health unit, according to San Diego Magazine.
The unit cares for children between the ages of 5 to 17 with depression, anxiety or other mental disabilities. The renovations will upgrade the unit to provide an environment of safety and beauty, according to the hospital's website.
The gift was announced at a hospital fundraising event June 27.
