Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health has reported $33.7 million in operating income for the three months ending March 31.
That figure compares with $13 million in the same period last year. The current operating income translates to a 1.9 percent operating margin compared with 0.7 percent in 2022.
Overall income for the period totaled $79.3 million compared with a net loss of $121.4 million in 2022.
Sanford Health, which continues to be in discussions regarding a potential merger with Minneapolis-based Fairview Health, reported reduced operating income in 2022 of $187.9 million.
