Samaritan Healthcare sees bad weather affect bottom line, but remains in black

While record snowfall and cold weather affected business for Moses Lake, Wash.-based Samaritan Healthcare in February, the hospital posted positive results during the month, according to the Columbia Basin Herald.

The hospital's chief administrative officer, Alex Town, told the Columbia Basin Herald that Samaritan "had a lot of [patients] not show up because of bad weather," dragging down patient revenue.

At the same time, the hospital saw expenses fall. Combined with positive investment returns, Samaritan remained profitable in February.
