Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has revised Laurinburg, N.C.-based Scotland Memorial Hospital's outlook to positive from stable.
S&P also affirmed its "BBB+" underlying rating on Scotland Memorial Hospital's series 1999 insured healthcare facility revenue bonds, affecting $6.5 million.
"The positive outlook reflects continued improvement in operating performance in fiscal 2015 and fiscal 2016 year-to-date due to additional patient volume and revenue coupled with management's continued strong expense control," said S&P credit analyst Cynthia Keller.
