S&P assigns 'BBB' rating to Boston Medical Center's bonds

S&P Global Ratings has assigned a "BBB" rating to Boston Medical Center's series 2016E bonds.

The outlook is positive.

BMC is the obligated group within BMC Health System.

"The positive outlook is based on BMC Health System's improved financial performance in fiscal 2015 and through interim fiscal 2016, ending June 30, with the expectation that future cash flow will meet the funding need of management's long-term capital plan," said S&P analyst Jennifer Soule.

S&P also affirmed the "BBB" rating on its series 2015D, 2012C and 2008B outstanding bonds.
