S&P Global Ratings assigned an "AA-" long-term rating to Coral Gables-based Baptist Health South Florida's $250 million of series 2017 taxable notes.
"The 'AA-' rating reflects BHSF's ability to generate better-than-projected financial results in fiscal 2016 although operations remain negative, and maintenance of key balance sheet metrics consistent with the rating despite recent operating pressure," said S&P analyst Stephen Infranco.
The outlook is stable.
