Amid the rise of consumerism in healthcare, hospitals can potentially boost patient satisfaction by arranging data in a centralized platform, according to Shawn Yates, director of healthcare product management at Muncie, Ind.-based Ontario Systems.
Mr. Yates shared the following tip with Becker's Hospital Review:
"Providers should rely on a centralized platform, particularly in this era of growing patient self-pay, to carry out essential patient satisfaction functions. Compiling patient data in a centralized platform saves employees the frustration of wasting time digging through unorganized information and gives patients a single, complete picture of their care. Aggregating data into a convenient, easy-access portal makes for more efficient employees and happier patients."
