Physicians at Jellico (Tenn.) Community Hospital haven't been paid in months, and other workers' paychecks have been delayed, according to WVLT.
Some employees, who had not been paid since Dec. 6, were supposed to be paid Dec. 20. That paycheck was delayed until Dec. 23, according to the report.
This isn't the first time paychecks have been delayed. Rennova Health, the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based company that owns Jellico Community Hospital, issued late paychecks three times earlier this year.
Another Tennessee hospital owned by Rennova closed in June. Jamestown (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center, an 85-bed hospital, closed June 13, one day after its Medicare and Medicaid funding was cut off.
